Transforming Education
Through Care.

CAREvolution
Needs You!

A 501(c)(3) movement and revolution of care in education and community learning.
Empowering students, educators, and communities worldwide.
Our Mission

CAREducation Foundation exists to support CAREvolution—a revolution demanding systemic change in education and community learning.

We raise funds for scholarships, grants, and participatory research of our CARE Learning Framework. We train and mobilize volunteers to challenge harmful existing systems and model better ways of education.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every human has access to meaningful, life-shaping learning experiences rooted in care, curiosity, and collaboration — empowering individuals and communities to flourish. Where non-public school students have access to the same types of opportunities afforded to those in public schools and where community individuals and businesses help to create such opportunities.

Be the Movement of Truth, Love, and CARE

From the President

Welcome to CAREvolution and thank you for your engagement.

The work of CAREducation Foundation is deeply personal to me. As a public school teacher and instructional coach, I made historic impact but saw our profoundly misaligned education and greater systems drain the life out of students, families, educators, and our public. Instead of walking on a harmonious path of truth, love, and care, we are stuck in a rut perpetuating broken systems of learning and governance.

In 2024, after the tragic passing of my father, completing an Education Specialist degree from the University of Virginia, and being repeatedly abused by Prince William County Schools after I tried fighting for the safety and learning of our students, I made a decision. I’m no longer asking for reform or incremental change. I’m declaring a State of Emergency and leading Revolution with full force. And, I am unafraid. Truth, love, and care will prevail. It just has to.

So, stand up and be free with me. Make a difference. Fight for our liberation and sovereignty to learn and love with freedom and care. Get involved with our programs, fundraising, and change-making efforts. Show your values in action and join the greatest learning party ever!

With love,

Jimmy Edwards, EdS, MT
President

The learning with CARE feels personal and meaningful. I know that the kids will remember the things that they learned from working on these projects much longer than if they had to study for a test.

CARE: A place where creativity, community, and compassion come first. Every time I see a student light up during a project or find their people, I’m reminded why this work matters – and why the kid I used to be would be proud that we built it.

Tara Oakes, CARE Academy Educator

We get to learn real skills with teachers who care. And, it’s nice to be at a school that teaches emotional intelligence. Kids (and adults!) need this, and public school isn’t meeting this need.

Ella, CARE Academy Student

I left public school after having a terrible experience. Now, I’ve been able to pursue my own passions and projects with people who actually care.
